    In Financial Reporting, we are responsible for the Bank's external financial reports, and for analyzing financial information. In addition, our team is responsible for interpreting and applying accounting and reporting guidance.

    As a Senior Analyst, you will be a member of the team responsible for completing financial statements, schedules and disclosures for SEC and FDIC reporting purposes. You will be responsible for accurately compiling, analyzing and interpreting financial information used in reporting, and for identifying opportunities to enhance the Bank’s reporting processes. You will research accounting topics and reporting issues and regularly coordinate and collaborate with other team members and functional groups. 


    What you’ll do as a Senior Analyst – Financial Reporting:

    • Seek ways to improve reporting processes in your areas of responsibility.
    • Prepare schedules (for earnings releases, 10-Q and 10-K filings, Basel III regulatory disclosures, call reports, internal management reports, etc.) and disclosures in accordance with SEC, FDIC and internal reporting requirements; and organize and maintain the relevant supporting documentation for every filing.
    • Research technical guidance and share your conclusions regarding accounting and regulatory reporting issues.
    • Perform financial accounting analyses as needed.
    • Monitor accounting and regulatory developments and the resulting reporting implications and collaborate with Accounting Policy and other functional groups (for example, Finance, Credit Administration, Loan Servicing, Deposit Services) to implement the needed changes in our reporting processes.
    • Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting, update procedures and internal control matrices, and ensure clean audit trails and adequate documentation for all financial reports.
    • Lead or assist with special accounting and/or reporting projects as needed.


    You could be a great fit if you have:

    • A bachelor’s degree in accounting
    • Two to three years of experience at a Big Four accounting firm (external audit) or a mix of public accounting, SEC reporting and financial reporting experience
    • Banking experience is preferred
    • A Certified Public Accountant license required
    • A strong understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
    • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
    • A detail-oriented approach to problem solving and the ability to learn systems (reporting, record keeping, etc.) and processes quickly
    • Effective interpersonal skills and strong written and oral communication skills
    • Proficiency in Word and Excel
    • Experience with Oracle Hyperion and Workiva is preferred
    • The ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
    • Self-motivation and a strong interest in accounting and reporting issues
    • A demonstrated commitment to teamwork and providing extraordinary service

    Job Demands:

    • Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals; must be computer proficient.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and in person.
