    The Marketing and Communications group provides the tools, resources and guidance to support our bankers and wealth managers in growing existing client relationships and building new ones. We serve as a strategic partner to our stakeholders in helping to maintain a best-in-class Net Promoter Score through safeguarding and promoting our brand of exceptional client service.


    Role Overview:
    The Marketing Communications Proofreader will work with several key stakeholders throughout the marketing, operations and compliance teams to ensure consistent application of quality assurance standards for marketing, communications and creative deliverables. This role requires an understanding of financial regulations and their application in a marketing context, extensive editing and proofreading of external and internal communications, and strategic thinking. The Marketing Communications Proofreader will be part of the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) team.


    Team Overview:
    The Integrated Marketing Communications team partners closely with business units and project teams across First Republic Bank on internal and external marketing communications and collateral development. Everything from product and regulatory communications to client-facing tools, resources and direct mail falls within our scope. In addition, we provide copywriting and QA to ensure Marketing deliverables reflect First Republic’s established brand tone and voice as well as centralized standards and insights for products and services.


    What you'll do as a Marketing Communications Proofreader

    • Ensure consistency and accuracy of content, spelling and grammar for all marketing assets and special projects
    • Monitor consistency of all marketing assets within style and established guidelines
    • Proofread and copyedit communications to maintain clarity and consistency in tone
    • Provide guidance and alternative solutions within area of expertise
    • Translate financial, legal or technical terminology into clear, conversational language
    • Build strong relationships with business unit partners and cross functional SMEs to brainstorm, plan and accomplish deliverables efficiently, and effectively escalate when appropriate


    What skills you will use: 

    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a related role, preferably in financial services or a similar regulatory field
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal, writing and analytical skills
    • Ability to understand complex programs and translate into clear communications (written, graphical, architectural and verbal)
    • Proficient with Word, PowerPoint and Excel applications
    • Extensive experience with annotating PDFs or Workfront proofs
    • Strategic thinker with a results orientation who approaches any challenge with thoughtfulness, drive and appropriate urgency
    • Collaborative and “hands-on” team player who builds strong relationships internally and externally, and works well under pressure, thriving under tight deadlines
    • Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or equivalent
    • Must pass proofreading test
