    This individual will work with the PWM Technology Team, outside vendors and other partners across the PWM business to identify, prioritize and drive enhancements to our portfolio management capabilities. This Business Analyst will also work closely with wealth management teams across the country to improve their effectiveness by training them on the portfolio management and trading tools at PWM.   In this role, this individual will also solicit and champion the “voice of the user” in planning and design discussions with vendors and internal partners. While strategic thinking and coordination are important elements of this role, this individual will be required to take a tactical role with requirements, design, testing, and roll out and training with users.

     

    What you’ll do as a Portfolio Management & Trading Business Analyst:

    1. Develop a deep understanding of the portfolio management and trading processes and needs of the Wealth Managers and Trading Desks. Actively solicit and represent the “voice of the user.”
    2. Become proficient in all of PWM’s portfolio management and trading tools and train new wealth management teams and current employees on how to use the tools to be most efficient in managing client portfolios.
    3. Identify knowledge gaps in the field and help develop training materials to address those gaps.
    4. Contribute to the definition and development of the short/medium/long term roadmap for PWM’s portfolio management and trading platforms.
    5. As a business analyst, create sound business requirements, act as liaison with cross functional teams and vendors, provide oversight of deliverables, conduct usability testing, and manage product and deployments in partnership with the PWM technology team and vendors.
    6. Partner with PWM Technology and vendors to execute against the roadmap including implementation of new platforms and enhancements to existing tools to meet evolving business needs.

    What skills you will use:

     

    Required:

    • Undergraduate degree
    • 5+ years of experience in wealth management

    Highly Preferred:

    • An understanding and experience with portfolio management and trading processes and tools
    • Familiarity with Advent Moxy, FolioDynamix, RedBlack, Bloomberg and NetX360

     

    Professional skill/ competency

    • Strong business orientation with an understanding of brokerage/wealth management processes.
    • Ability to identify and interpret business needs, analyze workflows and document business requirements or user stories. 
    • Skilled at translating functional knowledge into practical application when speaking to users and training them.
    • Detail-oriented individual who has the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
    • Hands-on, ‘roll up your sleeves’ experience.
    • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skill; is able to speak articulately with and in language appropriate for business/front line users (e.g., Wealth Managers), back office operations employees and technology partners.
