    We are looking for individuals tasked with growing and helping to evolve a technology-enabled workforce and driving deeper collaboration amongst our colleagues using innovative processes and technology. The HR Technology and Operations (“HR Tech Ops”) leader is a technology-focused, project-driven, process improvement specialist focused on optimizing colleague collaboration through technology delivery, process improvement and innovation. The ideal candidate has the opportunity introduce new, smarter, technology-enabled paradigms that revolutionize the way our colleagues work together. As a visionary leading a significant team in Human Resources, you’ll provide innovative solutions for our HR Systems, Analytics & Reporting, Risk, Quality Assurance, Compliance and Specialists functions. You’ll be a core member of the Senior HR Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, and help optimize our ability to deliver, sustain and scale best-in-class people and culture strategies and operations. You will also play a key role in ensuring First Republic remains a great place to work.


    What you’ll do as the SVP of Human Resources Tech Ops:



    1. Act as a member of First Republic’s Senior HR Leadership Team (“HRLT”) and make significant and expert contributions into our overarching people and culture strategies, objectives and offerings
    2. Develop a high-performing team who understands business objectives and how to best support them
    3. Lead and manage projects that aim to both revolutionize and optimize colleague connectivity and cultural evolution at First Republic Bank
    4. Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to implementation best practices
    5. Collaborate across teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and technology implementation in the real-estate and facilities organization

    HR Tech Ops Strategy:

    • Design, develop, implement and communicate strategy and direction across HR Tech Ops domains, including HR systems, data management, analytics, reporting, risk, quality assurance, compliance and immigration
    • Develop and maintain a clear HR Tech Ops philosophy for all of First Republic that is supported by our Executive Team and aligned with our business priorities and core values
    • Provide expertise on new trends, dynamics and best practices in HR technologies, analytics, reporting and insights, as well as evolving risk, quality assurance, compliance, immigration and related requirements
    • Provide meaningful, predictive insights and guidance to best attract and retain diverse top talent, optimize employee engagement, performance and productivity
    • Ensure that First Republic is fully compliant at all times with all employment requirements, filings and reporting
    • Establish and lead a governance process and methodology to mitigate and manage risk in all matters related to people and culture
    • Proactively partner with HR Business Partners and our other HR Centers of Excellence to identify, define and lead HR Tech Ops initiatives that reinforce and strengthen our values and culture, and our ability to attract, engage and retain diverse top talent


    What skills you will use:



    • Bachelor’s or Master’s in architecture, interior design, engineering or related field
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred


    • 5-10 years of experience working in architecture or design related field
    • Diverse planning, technology, operations and analytics experience
    • People management experience, including managing and leading other planning, technology, operations and analytics practitioners
    • Experience working with C-suite executives
    • Considerable experience influencing stakeholders at varying levels
    • Considerable experience leading large-scale, complex change and transformation
    • Experience planning a systems and analytics implementation strategy

    • Competency across: 1) Business analysis - Gathering user needs and translating these into design and technical requirements; 2) UX/UI design - Constructing a system (whether physical or digital) that is intuitive, highly functional and consistent with First Republic brand standards; 3) Product development - Managing the roadmap for ongoing iterations and 4) Data analytics - Collecting data from the current experience in order to understand audience behavior and effectiveness
    • Excellent technical skills and the ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies
    • Exceptional customer service, leadership and interpersonal skills
    • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate complex technical issues and initiatives in an accurate yet understandable way
    • Experience negotiating and collaborating with business partners
    • Highly self-motivated and directed with strong time-management capabilities
    • Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
    • Analysis (Organizational Impact): Ability to understand and analyze the cost, technical, knowledge and/or technological implications of a change at an individual, department, affiliate, regional and enterprise level
    • Prioritization: Ability to assign relevance and risk to a series of planned and unplanned events at an individual, department, affiliate, regional and enterprise level against a specific outcome
    • Change Management: Ability to lead, manage and implement change initiatives in an effective manner; Ability to manage to the organization's policy and standards for change in live services and test environments. Ability to effectively control the treatment of risk to the availability, performance, security and compliance of the business services impacted
    • Relationship Management: Ability to identify, analyze, manage and monitor relationships with and between stakeholders, including the clarification of mutual needs and commitments through consultation and consideration of impacts
    • Strong business acumen as evidenced by direct alignment of technology operations and analytics strategies and deliverables with business drivers and objectives
    • Proclivity for collaboration and comfortable challenging the status quo
      Strong influencing and negotiation skills with proven ability to present a clear and strategic point-of-view to senior management, while being able to defend and articulate the thought process and rationale behind recommendations
    • Strategic thinker with a track record of elevating and evolving business in line with contemporary and best practices
    • Communication and consulting skills and ability to get things done
    • Personal credibility and ability to build trusted relationships with senior business leaders
