    The Assistant Team Leader, Preferred Banking role is a combination of sales, client service support and management. You are required to bring in a significant amount of self-sourced business in addition to being the Deposit Expert for the Relationship Managers’ client base. This includes sales presentations, cash management expertise, account opening, compliance and documentation, transitioning clients to First Republic, and maintaining those accounts. You are expected to maintain a professional relationship to encourage additional business from existing clients in addition to obtaining referral business. You will provide ongoing excellent customer service using ingenuity to solve problems or enhance the banking relationship. Thorough knowledge of banking operations is required. From the Management perspective, you will be responsible for backing up the Team Leader of Preferred Banking at all times with personnel items and attendance at weekly meetings like the Loan Meeting, Alco, Manager’s Meeting, and etc. You will also be a resource for all Preferred Bankers in the region on products, processes, procedures and compliance. You should bring inefficiencies to the attention of the Team Leader and also address any conflicts that are unbecoming or violate any of the FRB Values.

    What you’ll do as an Assistant Team Lead:

    • Back-up management duties ie. personnel, attendance, conflicts, training, etc
    • New business development calls for self-sourced portfolio
    • Attendance at weekly meetings when needed
    • Staying 100% up to speed on all procedural, technology, product and process changes or updates
    • Cash Management expertise for presentations and demonstrations
    • Outside business development calls with RM's
    • Opening new accounts
    • Transitioning the client over to the Bank, ensuring a smooth transition
    • Responsible for obtaining all required documentation
    • Provide on-going execllent customer service including hand-holding the top 10% of the RM’s client base.
    • Maintain customer relationships
    • Thorough knowledge of existing bank products and keeping up to date with new products and services
    • Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.
    • Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.
    • Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with the applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.) 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting suspicious activity to the AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.

    • College degree
    • Minimum 3 years experience in private banking
    • Existing client portfolio desired
