    The Marketing and Communications group provides the tools, resources and guidance to support our bankers and wealth managers in growing existing client relationships and building new ones. We serve as a strategic partner to our stakeholders in helping to maintain a best-in-class Net Promoter Score through safeguarding and promoting our brand of exceptional client service.


    The Contingent Marketing Associate will assist the Business Banking Marketing Director for tech and VC with a variety of internal and external projects to support the tech and VC practice. The Marketing associate will assist in: (i) providing support in executing First Republic events and sponsorship of third-party events; (ii) tracking and formatting data relevant to First Republic’s tech and VC practice and the tech and VC market; and (iii) assisting in the maintenance of internal and external marketing materials for tech and VC.


    What you'll do as a Contingent Marketing Associate

    • Assist in the planning and execution of external events and sponsorships including project plan, budget tracking, mailing lists, organization of collateral and promotional materials and coordination with outside vendors, processing payment invoices.
    • Support and organization the logo project, maintaining spreadsheet of assets including logo files and release forms.
    • Identify relevant tech and VC articles to license or post on Elevate for bankers to share.
    • Process requests for print materials and related invoices
    • Edit and format existing presentations and proposal templates to meet ad hoc requests from Sales
    • Input and track tech and VC creative services projects in Marketing’s internal system (Workfront)
    • Perform duties and responsibilities specific to department functions and activities or as assigned by supervisor.
    • Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with the applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.) 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting suspicious activity to the AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.


    What skills you will use: 

    • Bachelors degree or equivalent
    • 3 years related job experience
    • Strong writing, analytical and presentation skills. Ability to effectively problem solve and navigate complex processes and situations.
    • Strategic thinker who is solutions-oriented and approaches any challenge with thoughtfulness, drive and appropriate urgency.
    • Superior organizational and time management skills, ability to multi task projects and multiple calendars; works well under pressure, thriving under tight deadlines.
    • Collaborative and “hands-on” team player who builds strong relationships internally and externally.
    • Always presents an approachable and professional demeanor to internal and external partners.
    • Proficient knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel applications.
