    In Lending Services, we document, fund, and service all loans for First Republic. We’re also responsible for servicing investor and collateral loan portfolios, as well as responding to client and loan team inquiries. Lending Services provides operational support in streamlining workflow processes, driving product development, and providing training, lending compliance support, and professional development resources. Additionally, we provide operational risk and internal control oversight, support lending-based systems and vendors, and manage technology projects across First Republic product lines.

     

    The Residential Lending Compliance Support Specialist is primarily responsible for conducting pre-approval and/or pre-closing QC reviews on residential mortgages with a focus on regulatory compliance. As the Residential Lending Compliance Support Specialist, you will review key source documents in the imaged loan file and LOS screen data to validate documents for completeness, timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory guidelines including TILA/RESPA; HMDA, and ECOA.   You will also collaborate with Loan Specialists, Executive Loan Committee, Closing, and others to facilitate the clearing of errors and exceptions prior to loan closing. Additional responsibilities may include being an active partner with internal business groups who develop solutions to mitigate compliance risk and assisting with other daily production-related tasks. The primary goal of this position is to mitigate compliance errors, while facilitating the loan origination process.

     

    What you'll do as a Residential Lending Compliance Support Specialist:

    • Perform thorough QA of mortgage loan record to prepare & delivery consumer mortgage loan disclosures (initial and revised).
    • Perform thorough QC of consumer mortgage loan disclosures that are self-issued by authorized loan teams.
    • Work closely with the loan teams, Regulatory Risk Management, and Compliance groups.
    • Occasionally engage with the Bank’s external vendors
    • Provide phone and email Help-desk support to real estate loan teams, for LOS-processing tasks & questions
    • Post-action HMDA QC weekly review. Validate captured HMDA data against source documents in the imaged loan file
    • Perform duties and responsibilities specific to department functions and activities or as assigned by supervisor
    • Responsibilities include the following: 1)adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.); 2)adhering to Bank policies and procedures; 3) completing required training; 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer; and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.

     

     

    What skills you will use:

    • 2 or more years of experience in residential compliance review or residential loan processing/servicing.
    • Must possess demonstrated organizational skills and a very strong attention to detail.
    • Must be able to successfully manage and prioritize work assignments and meet deadlines.
    • Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, emphasis on Outlook and Excel.
    • Must possess strong analytical, process, and people skills.
    • Must possess the ability to work proactively and operate accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with variable deadlines.
