    As an Onboarding Associate, you will provide a wide range of sales, service, administrative and relationship management support to assigned wealth advisors and investment professionals across Registered Investment (RIA), Broker-Dealer and Trust teams and be the first point of contact for clients or prospects. You will have the opportunity to use your strong relationship management skills to build successful partnerships between all parties as you act as the liaison between the investment professional/client and the PWM middle office functions/operations.


    What you’ll do as an Onboarding Associate:

    • Onboarding new PWM hires and their clients, which involves:
    • Occasional travel to other offices to initially work onsite with new hires.
    • Prefilling and reviewing new account paperwork, submitting accounts, creating appropriate “Know Your Client” (KYC) requirements, following all new account processes and addressing any inconsistencies.
    • Tracking exception approvals and one-off requests.
    • Submitting/Tracking ACAT/Non-ACAT requests, including Transfer statement review.
    • Cost basis tracking, delivery and/or input.
    • Completing/submitting all audit related paperwork for final approval.
    • Preparation for arrival of new hires, including handling business cards, office supplies and the preparation and delivery of marketing materials.
    • Becoming a subject matter expert (SME) on procedures and documents for new accounts and Private Wealth Management core systems and processes.
    • Identifying and responding to client service needs of onboarding personnel, answering routine questions and escalating issues to management in a thoughtful manner.
    • Serve as a liaison to functional areas across the organization, most notably Operations and Technology, for onboarding professionals.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor or senior managers which may include special projects.

    What skills you will use:

    • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
    • 1 to 3 years of financial services experience at a brokerage firm or registered investment advisor/manager preferred
    • New accounts or client onboarding experience a plus
    • Series 7 license a plus
    • Proven history of providing extraordinary service
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Ability to further the First Republic Bank culture and values
    • Ability to be a team player with positive energy
    • Ability to multi-task with strong time management and organizational skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Pays strong attention to detail

    • Proven history of providing extraordinary service, preferably in the financial services industry strongly preferred
    • Ability to travel to other locations where resources may be needed
    • Highly motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities
    • Strong understanding of compliance and new hire requirements preferred
    • Prior experience working with investment professionals a plus
    • Ability to understand and effectively communicate Private Wealth Management policies and proceduresAbility to work with a virtual team of Subject Matter Experts across departments (e.g. operations, technology, compliance)
