    The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be a member of the Private Wealth Management (“PWM”) business administration team responsible for budgeting and forecasting, business results analysis, and regular management reporting and communication on financial results including revenues, expenses and profitability. They will also lead PWM vendor relationships, proactively analyze and manage PWM expenses and identify and lead cost oversight and savings initiatives. The FP&A Manager will also be responsible for preparing ad-hoc reports, creating and maintaining department procedures and manuals, creating appropriate supporting documentation, responding to internal and external audit and regulatory inquiries, analyzing current processes and working with various functional groups to implement process improvements and achieve automation.

     

    The position will interact with Executive Management, PWM Business Administration Team, PWM Operations Teams, Wealth Management professionals, HR and Compensation Teams, Accounting and other functional groups.

     

    The position will be trained to fill in as needed for a variety of additional functions.

     

    What you will do as Financial Planning & Analysis Manager:

    • Work with PWM Executive Management Team in financial growth planning process including creation of and review/updates for financial growth plan.
    • Maintain and report information on revenue, expenses and assets under management in coordination with Accounting, Finance and Compensation Teams.
    • Develop and publish regular revenue and expense reports for PWM management and senior investment professionals including trend analysis of results over different time periods
    • Assist with preparation of information for quarterly earnings reporting.
    • Manage PWM vendor and service provider relationships to ensure best vendor relationships and terms are achieved
      • Track and analyze vendor agreement terms
      • Ensure oversight of costs and lead review as needed
      • Analyze all contracts prior to renewal in coordination with senior management and vendor management teams
      •  Develop strong working relationships with key vendor contacts
    • Manage financial due diligence analysis for prospective new hire and acquisition opportunities
      Proactively analyze and manage business expenses (including employee growth, travel and entertainment expenses, productivity improvement efforts, etc.)
      • Identify and implement initiatives to manage cost savings
      • Update expense policies as necessary
    • Create and maintain department procedure documentation; gather information and respond to internal and external audit and regulatory requests for information
      Work with wealth management professionals, bankers, Client Service Associates, HR Compensation Team, Accounting and Executive Management on compensation-related projects
      Assist in planning and maintaining PWM compensation program
    • Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.
    • Perform other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.
    • Responsibilities include the following:  1) adhering to and complying with the applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.) 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting suspicious activity to the AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank. 

     

    What skills you will use:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Statistics
    • 3-5 years of related experience
    • Proficiency in data analytics and financial modelling
    • Experience with project management, able to work cross functionally and influence outcomes even without direct authority
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to manage priorities with limited direction
    • Superior organization and attention to detail

    • Ability to work confidently with senior management
    • Ability to develop strong relationships with other colleagues

    • Advanced Excel, Power Point, Access, SQL Server, Tableau knowledge is a plus
