    The purpose of this role is to work with assigned Estate and Planning Specialist (EBPS) to further the sales and business development efforts within the team with the goal of increasing client base, revenue, internal/external referrals and self-sourced deposits. This role will provide consultative, broad scope recommendations to clients/potential clients and maintain these relationships as well as service clients. Manage insurance clients through the prospect phase to move them into medical and financial underwriting.

     

    What you will do as Associate Director, Estate and Business Planning:

    • Manage internal referral sources from Relationship Managers (RMs), Wealth Advisors (WAs), Financial Advisors and Planners (FAs/FPs), Wealth Managers (WMs), and Business Bankers (BBs) to identify/inventory prospects for sales and business development. Responsible for self-sourcing clients as well.
    • Together with assigned EBPS, develop overall business plans, case strategy, and implementations for the team.
    • Independently develop and prepare all assigned client (and prospects) presentation materials.
    • Independently run illustrations/proposals for various insurance carriers, interface directly with both the Case Manager(s) and In-Force Policy Service professionals.
    • Review draft with EBPS for their input ot ensure all materials are created and proofed. Coordinate with Marketing and Compliance to ensure presentation materials are approved.
    • When applicable, present to varoius internal groups at various levels on the topic of insurance planning. Considered subject matter expert in estate and business planning. Prepare the materials for these presentations. Coordinate cross business/cross functional teams on comprehensive planning engagements.
    • Collaborate with Marketing to create success stories, deliverables, and other marketing materials.
    • Ensure all planning engagements and supporting documentation is complete and adheres to financial planning policy and procedures, review incoming client information, overal customer satisfaction, timelines and case status are communicated to internal colleagues and external parties on a timely and consistent basis, underwriting cases are monitored, all client documents are uploaded and catalogued, client review sessions are held, follow-up items are completed on schedule, all insurance related delivery requirements are organized and ready for client meetings and appropriate illustrations are created, and overall operational efficiency.
    • Initiate and drive independent initiatives. Parcipate in the development of department policies and/or procedures and lead or assist with client specific projects as assigned.
    • Responsibliites include the following
      • Adhering to and complying with the applicable federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
      • Adhering to Bank policies and procedures.
      • Completing required training.
      • Identifying and reporting suspicious activity to the AML officer, and
      • Knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.

     

     

    What skills you will use:

    • Life, Accident & Health Insurance Licensed required.
    • Series 6/63 required, series 7/63 preferred.
    • Required a high level of communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills.
    • The ideal candidate has worked in an insurance or financial services organziation.
    • Experience with SmarOffice agency management system preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
    • Desire to learn, grow, increase knowledge, and improve skills through working with the EBPS.
